Tour the Museum

Self-guided tours are available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to see the current exhibit as well as permanent artifacts.  Step back in time as you explore the five building museum complex, including; the Ox Barn, Steinbach Cabin, Tie Shed, Will Family Summer Kitchen and Kraus House. To learn more about the stories and traditions of the colony, you can also schedule a guided tour during regular museum hours, as available. Call 503-678-5754 to arrange a guided tour. 

School Tours

School field trips are available Tuesday through Friday and can be interactive, with some hands-on activities designed for the age level of the students.  Please contact us to schedule a tour for your class.

Farm & Village Programs for 4th Graders—and Learners of All Ages

From March to June, the Old Aurora Colony Museum conducts special experiential programs designed specifically for 4th grade classes who are studying Oregon pioneer history. Students move through five stations and do historically based hands-on projects that result in take-home creations. Variations of this fun and engaging program can also be arranged for adult learners, team-building exercises, and students in other grades.
