Join us Saturday, February 24th at 11:00AM for the Aurora Colony Historical Society Membership Meeting. Located at the Aurora Mills Annex, the gathering will provide an update on the Historical Society, as well as an amendment to a by-law process.
The event features a presentation by Dave Brauner, Professor Emeritus, called “Aurora on the Edge of Eden: History and Archaeology of French Prairie” about the history and archaeology of the area.
Whether you're a long-time member of the Society or interested in joining for the first time, the Annual Meeting promises to be a fun and informative gathering with complimentary wine and small bites. Bylaw Amendment
With the unpredictability of the weather in February recently, the Board is recommending the following bylaw change regarding the annual meeting:
Original Wording Article II Section 4: “Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of the members shall be held during the month of February at the discretion of the Board of Directors.”
Proposed Change: “Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of the members shall be held during the first quarter of the calendar year at the discretion of the Board of Directors.”
